Jorden's 4th Birthday

Jorden chose to have his 4th birthday party at Bart Conner gymnastics and he had a blast with his friends. He wanted Power Rangers for the theme and we just happened to schedule it on my birthday. Since my friend Kim moved to TX, she and her daughter Ellie were able to come and have fun too

New door wreath made by Jamie for my birthday

We went to family camp for the first time with scouts at Camp George Thomas
It was fun during the day but that night it got down to freezing so we earned our polar bear badge.

We stayed pretty warm in our sleeping bags but I HATED sleeping on the ground

We only stayed one night since Jorden got really sick and had to come home

Since we have had several close calls with tornadoes and a storm shelter saved my sisters life
we finally had one installed on Jorden's birthday

It took them about 7 hours to install our hidey hole then the boys and our neighbors tried it out the next day

I helped Jamie work her booth at the Affair of the Heart again. It was really busy

We got a new fur niece named Littles and she got to take a ride in the car to our house

My baby sister turned 30 so I made her a sucker bouquet



We went to eat at Red Lobster to celebrate Carrie turning 30. Makes me feel OLD!

Grandparent's night at school. Jensen is so lucky to have all 4 able to go see his school

Kim lives about 3hrs away now so the boys and I went down to stay with her for a night

We went to a great park and it was beautiful weather

Thanks to my mom we finally got a new shed and they brought it on a semi
and unloaded it with a forklift

The problem was there is not enough space between houses so we couldn't just put it
in the backyard. We had to take it apart and reassemble it which was a pain but worth it

Both of our dads came over to help and it went pretty fast

 

Finished shed. It's so nice to have more storage and it looks great

First day of school Jensen 2nd Grade and Jorden Preschool

Jorden learned to write his first word. Sheesh I'm so proud

Carrie and I did wine and palette and it was a hard one

July 2013

 

We went to Jeff's co-worker's house in the country to pop fireworks on July 5th 

 

 

Jorden learned a quick lesson on not touching hot sparklers

 

On July 4th we were going to watch fireworks but I twisted my ankle on
some rollerblades in the garage and couldn't walk. It really hurt for a long time

Mimi bought the boys a brick at the OKC Zoo with their names on it
They love going to see it when we visit

Jorden was only 3 but he was determined to be like big brother and ride a
bike without training wheels

I bought a play set from a friend who was moving and it turned into a big project
The wood wasn't in great shape so we ended up using it as a template and replacing
almost all of it. Jeff also added a second level. It was super hot and a lot of work but turned out nice

 

 

 

 

Kim was in town a lot this summer so we did wine and palette together
