1st Day of Pre-K

Our baby Jensen is such a big kid now. He has gone to mother's day out and preschool but this year he started real school. Moore Schools has a pre-kindergarden program for 4yr olds but not all schools have it so it's a lottery. We signed up in March and picked 4 schools. He got selected for Fisher Elementary which isn't our home school but it's still only 1 mile away. He goes 5 days a week from 9:00-11:30am. He was very excited to go and had no problem getting used to his new school. I'm a little sad he is so grown up especially since they have us just drop them off and pick them up in front but he's having a great time. I am a little sad though that it's only 2.5hrs since preschool and mdo was 5hrs and I could really get stuff done.

August 19th 2010 First Day of Pre-K

Got my bag ready to go!

He will go to Fisher this year and Wayland Bonds for K-6th grade

Mrs. Gappa has 4 boys and her teacher's aid has 4 girls so they are a good team

He sits at the yellow table which happens to be his favorite color

Jeff's new car

Jeff has been searching for about a year for a vehicle because we can't all fit in his tiny truck and to pick up anything with the following criteria:

  • needs to fit all four of us including the big carseats

  • needs to have a cargo area for hauling stuff

  • needs to be reliable and decent gas mileage

  • needs to not require a lot of maintenance

  • needs to be cheap so we can pay cash

  • needs to be an automatic so I can drive it (yeah, I know I need to learn a stick someday)

That's not too much to ask right :) Well, he finally found a winner with a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser. It's old which worries me but it has a new engine and lots of other upgrades. It's not very good gas mileage but Jeff doesn't drive much and we usually take my Jeep when we go places. He got it for only $3000 then the people who we bought it from wanted to buy his truck for $1200 so that made the land cruiser super cheap! Plus we didn't have to try to sell the truck ...score!

Jorden's first haircut

I couldn't stand it any longer, Jorden needed a haircut. It was getting thick in the back and was starting to look like a mullet plus the top was uneven. I really like taking Jensen to Doc's Barber shop in Edmond so we had Jorden's 9 months pictures then headed over to the barber shop. The place always reminds me of those barber shops you see in the movies with man paraphanalia everywhere and guys sitting around reading the paper and yakking. Jorden did very well and didn't seem to even notice the clippers Tom used to trim his hair. Made me a little sad though that my baby is growing up already!
Before picture
During- I'm sure the guy I recruited to take these didn't
know he was going to be photographer that day ha!
After with Tom the barber, he kind of reminds me of my dad with hair
(ha sorry Daddy!)
I learned first haircuts are free at Doc's
You can see all the man paraphanalia on the walls.

July Random

Jorden 9 months and Julia 6 months- they are getting a lot closer in size!

Jensen's basketball team at their last game. He was so proud of his medal

We waited 9 loooong months for the new Crest grocery store to open down here. We had one in Edmond that we loved right outside our neighborhood and I HATE buying groceries at Walmart. It finally opened and they have fun green cars for the boys to ride in while we shop

Pool Party at Aunt Jamie's
Jorden is in a pink pool wearing a pink diaper cuz he's so manly he can pull it off!

Cute videos

Here are some recent videos taken on my digital camera. The first one is of Jensen when he had a bloody nose and fell asleep sitting at the table holding a towel on it. Cracks me up! The next one is Jorden doing the sign for "more", he's such a smarty and I'm so proud! The last one is Jorden doing his trick he learned. When you ask him if he's cute he turns his head and grins and it's so sweet!
