Kimmy Visits
Our friend Kim who lives in AZ came for an unexpected visit last week. Her grandpa isn't doing well so she and miss Ellie came for a few days. Ellie has grown so much since we last saw her in Oct and really laughs and smiles a lot. We went to Jamie's house for a while then hung out at Kim's parents house most of the day.

First Dentist Appt
Jensen had his first dentist appt yesterday and it went pretty well. He was very shy of course but he sat in the big chair all by himself and let them move it up and down. Adrienne showed him the instruments but he wouldn't let her look at his teeth. He sat on my lap when Dr. Kim came to talk to us and he opened his mouth a little bit for him to look but not much. They gave him a bouncy ball, toothbrush and toothpaste which he thought was neat plus the Dr. made a sword out of a balloon so he loved that. He warmed up and started talking to them right as we were leaving of course. Maybe next time he will let them clean his teeth but it was a good practice "happy visit"
This was his expression pretty much the whole time

New Years Eve
For NYE this year Jensen went to stay at Mimi's house then I went to a friends house for dinner. After that, Jeff and I went to Erin and Clay's house for a party. Lot of my friends were there and I usually hang out with the girls alone and leave Jeff at home so everyone was shocked that he actually came with me. He ended up seeing a girl he went to elementary school with that he hadn't seen about 18yrs! He said he remembered her face and who she was right away. We didn't do much except talk and some people played Rock Band on the Wii. We went home shortly after midnight and enjoyed sleeping in the next morning.
Family Time
Jeff was off 4 days for Xmas and 4 days for New Years so we had lots of family time. We got a free coupon in the mail for a game of bowling so we took Jensen for his first real bowling. They put up the bumpers for us and they have a special ramp for little kids that makes the ball actually make it down the lane. It was fun and Jensen was learning about taking turns and counting the pins so it was semi-educational ha ha. Sadly, my score was only about 10 or 20 pins higher than Jensen's because I kept using the 6lb ball. Jeff enjoyed making fun of me for that.

Christmas 2008
We had a great Christmas and it was extra fun this year because Jensen finally knows what Santa is. Christmas Eve we made Gingerbread men and that was fun because Jensen has really enjoyed reading the story about him every night before bed. On one of them, he decided he needed a hiney so he turned him over and put a piece of candy on his rear. I thought that was funny. That night we met at Jeff's parents house to exchange gifts with them and his brother's family. We ate dinner then opened presents. Jensen opened one gift and just wanted to play so I opened most of them for him. This kids had fun playing with their new toys then we came home to put milk and cookies out for Santa. Of course Jensen insisted the one with the hiney was for Santa!

Sharon, Jensen and my dad
Sharon picked out a bunch of cute outfits for Jensen complete with matching shoes. One was a nice outfit with a vest, tie and dress shoes. He wore it for Christmas that day and looked very sharp.
Jeff was a sweetie and got me a pair of shoes I wanted and a nice makeup case with makeup from Victoria's Secret. I got him a Wii golf game, an alarm clock that wakes you up slowly with light and the Weird Al show on DVD.
Jensen and Mimi
After spending some time with them we went out to Yukon to be with Jeff's dad's family. A few years back, we started drawing names to exchange gifts so that is fun. We had some great food there too. The kids always have a blast playing and looking at the huge salt water tank. They even got to see some turtle eggs and one had just hatched out.
