Spring Break 2010

Last week was a much busier than normal week because of Spring Break. Monday we went to the Y and swam with some of our Edmond friends. On Wednesday I decided to take Jensen and Jorden to the Jasmine Moran Children's museum in Seminole about an hour away. After talking to Jamie, she wanted the girls to go but doesn't like museums so I offered to take them with us. I had to drive her car since mine won't fit 4 kids and on the way there I thought to myself "am I crazy for taking 4 kids by myself?"I must be crazy but it was a lot of fun even though it was extrmemly crowded. They have lots of cool stuff play on life a fire engine, ambulance, play classroom, grocery store, dentist, dinosaur dig, surgery, constructions site and a lot more. They also have a little train ride outside that the kids were very excited to ride. I'm so bad though, I didn't take one single picture of Jorden since he was in the stroller and couldn't participate!

This was a big climbing thing with a slide they played on while I fed Jorden

Jensen slid down the pole by himself

Jones doctors doing sugery-I laughed when Jenna sawing the poor guys leg bone

Girls checking on the patient

Kids on a caboose

It was cold on the train ride, I was ready to go back inside

Funhouse mirrors

Fixing the car-even the girls got under it to fix it

They painted masks to take home. This was Jillians favorite since she's the artist

I have been wanting to take Jensen skating for a while and the girls were excited to learn too so we took the kids to the Moore Skating rink for first time last Thursday. It was really cute with legs everywhere! Jenna had great balance and was able to let go off the wall and skate in the middle. Poor Jensen and Jillian had more trouble and held onto the wall the whole time. Jensen tried so hard and was so worn out he was ready to go after only a few times around
Getting is big kid skates on

First of MANY falls

There was no wall to hang on in the back so Jensen crawled on all fours

I loved skating as a kid and enjoyed going with them. At one point though it occured to me that if I broke my neck who would take care of my kids! Never worried about that before ha

Jorden 4 months old

Baby Jorden is 4 months old already and we are really enjoying him. At his last check up, he weighted 16lbs 4oz and was 24.5inches. so he's chunky but a pound lighter than what Jensen was at this age. Everywhere we go people comment about his big chubby cheeks. I was saying the other day that for me, it's so diffrent with the 2nd baby because I remember at this age with Jensen I was still stressed out trying adjusting to this huge change and he still wasn't sleeping all night. Since Jorden sleeps 11hrs and having him wasn't such a major change, it seems easier. He's not mobile yet though so I'm sure I won't be saying that in a few months!

Jorden has such a cute personality already. He's almost always happy and smiling and if he's not it's only because he's hungry, tired or most recently teething. He has a tooth on the bottom that has one corner showing so you can tell that has been bothering him. Jorden can hold toys now and he can get the top half of his body rolled over to one side. This kid loves to bounce! He will stand on your lap and jump up and down until your arms get tired from holding him up. He's old enough now to get in the johnny jumper thing that goes in the doorway and he loves that. The most precious sound is when Jensen gets him belly laughing, it just make my heart smile.

Jorden loves watching Jensen and big brother can get the biggest laughs out of him.

On our little roadtrip to Ikea, Jeff insisted on paying $15 for this stuffed bulldog because he said it looked like Jorden. Well, when you put them next to each other, they do look alike with the big cheeks and bottom lip sticking out!
Here's a video of Jorden laughing. Its not that great of quality since I took it with my regular camera but it's cute anyway

Jamie/Julia Kate Baby Shower

Since Jamie decided not to find out what she was having, our friend Stephanie and I decided to plan her baby shower for after the baby came so she wouldn't just get a bunch of green and yellow stuff. It worked out great for me since it would have been stressful planning a shower with a 2 week old and moving at the same time. She already had almost everything she needed already so we did a diaper/wipe themed shower to help her stock up. I sent out diaper shaped invites, made her a diaper cake and we played a silly diaper game. It was different and neat having the baby actually at the shower.

My former hairdresser and Jeff's friend from highschool made this adorable, delicious cake. It was banana nut and chocolate flavored. We loved it

I made the diaper cake out of rolled up diapers and ribbon
For the game, I melted different kinds of chocolate bars and put them in diapers. The ladies had to guess what was in it. I have a gross sense of humor so I laughed at people sniffing the "poopy" diapers ha ha!

I thought it was ironic that the baby was at the shower and needed to be changed and they used the diapers she received. It worked out great!

Jeff the MVP

Jeff's work schedule before Valentine's Day was pretty rough on all of us. Since he does the network for the online floral company Teleflora, its normally busy during that time anyway but something was also broken so he was working a lot of 18-20hr days. He worked all night long sometimes and went 3 and 4 days without seeing the kids. I really felt like a single parent and it got old. It has slowed down now since they got it fixed and they showed their appreciation by awarding him the Most Valuable Person of the month. This included a plaque, parking spot and $100 bonus check. He thinks I'm a nerd for taking a picture of his truck in the special parking spot but that's normal plus I'm really proud!

Jeff works hard and takes great care of us!
