Last weekend after we found out we had a contract on our house, we realized we needed to find our new house quickly. We had plans to go with our realtor Rodd starting Monday to see some houses that were on a list of ones he sent us that fit our criteria. On Sunday though, there were open houses in some of the neighborhoods we were considering so we drove down to take a look. The first one I wanted to see was one I liked from the online pictures so we went there first. As soon as we walked in we knew we had to have this house!! The day before we had been in an open house and we bickered all day about whether it was right for us but this one we both completely agreed on right away. We had my mom and Jeff's parent's and Jamie and Jerry meet us there to see what they thought and they loved it too. So, we called our realtor and said we found the one. He said wow, that was easy! It's weird because that's normally not the way I do things. I usually have to look at all my options before making a decision but this time I just knew. There were a lot of people that came through the house that day too so we were worried that someone else would beat us to it but we put in the offer and they accepted. There was about 3 days though of haggling about how much the builder would pay on closing costs. He wouldn't pay all of it but we finally agreed on half. It was a tense few days since we were excited but couldn't fully celebrate until it was final.

It was very exciting to put a "Sold in 4 days" sign in the yard!

Our new house was build this year, never lived in. We are super excited about this since that means we won't have to do any repairs for a while. After all we've been through, we need that! It's 2500 square feet and located about 2-3 miles from my mom, Jeff's parent's and Jamie and Jerry. The neighborhood is also right across from the elementary school. We didn't think we'd end up with such a new house that was so big woohoo. Its 4 bedrooms with each having a good size walk in closet, a family room and two bathrooms. It also has a 3 car garage with the 3rd car being drive through to the back.

This is the cute little porch that will be nice to sit and relax on

The living room is a good size and is open to a beautiful kitchen. We joked that this kitchen deserves a much better cook than I am so I better improve! Jeff even half joked about me taking cooking classes at the vo-tech.....UH I can't be that bad!

The kitchen pantry is HUGE and is twice the size of the walk in closet I have now!

This large area is behind the kitchen and we think it might be a perfect multi-purpose playroom/family room etc

Jeff said I made a puddle when I saw this master closet, its really HUGE!
The only thing we wish were different about the house is the size of the yard. We were hoping for a good sized lot for the kids to play in and a covered patio to grill/entertain. It does however, back up to a farm pasture so we won't have any neighbors behind us. We hate to mow anyway so maybe a small yard is a good thing for us!
We close on both houses the day before the baby is due so it should be a CRAZY time but I can't wait to live there and I'm still pinching myself. I feel like all that hell we went through is finally paying off big time. There is a part of me though that is terrified of all this change at once, should be interesting...
