Touch a Truck 2011

This was the 4th year that Edmond MOMS Club did Touch A Truck even though they split last year into two clubs and the East side did the event. It was weird again not being in charge but I made calls for vehicles and was able to get the race cars there and I worked at a table taking donations for the food bank. It was a huge success with 60 trucks, about 3,000 people and $5100 was raised for hungry kids. GO MOMS Club of Edmond-East!!
We had fun taking the boys to see the trucks even though is was a little chilly and windy. Jorden is really getting into seeing buses and trucks so he loved it. His most favorite thing in the world right now is to "drive" anything with wheels.
Jensen and Jorden in front of the science museum truck that had all kind of stuff do do including and obstacle course.
We ran into Alex, one of Jensen's best friends and they enjoyed going in the science museum truck together.

It was really loud with all the kids honking the horns which is what Jensen is doing here

Zoo Fun

After our elephants came back to the zoo, everyone in OKC was so thrilled that one of them gave birth to a 304lb baby girl on April 15, 2011. They named her Malee (May-lee) which is cool because that's my maiden name only spelled diffrently. We went to see her on May 7th and the plan was to go with my mom and sister to celebrate mother's day early. Well, things changed when my mom's work had a fire and she had to go there instead. Me and the boys had fun with Carrie though.

Jorden wanted to hold aunt Carrie's hand even though he was in the stroller
In the children's zoo part, they have some water spouts for the kids to play in. Jorden absolutely loved it and got soaking wet. Next time, I'll bring a towel to dry him off. Look at that face, love it!
Jensen played in the water too

Easter 2011

It's Easter time again and this year was fun since Jorden is old enough to hunt and color eggs. We colored eggs with a kit I got that lets you make them into dinosaurs so that was neat.

Daddy helping out and doing his annual thing of writing the word poop on an egg

Poor Jorden didn't understand why we wouldn't let him eat those yummy eggs. He was crying and repeating egg, egg, egg so we finally let him have one before we were done......
then he was happy!

The Easter Bunny came and left some goodies!

Jensen came into our room while we are still asleep and said excitedly "guess WHAT! The Easter Bunny brought me my own BOOK HOLDERS!!" Really, they were sidewalk chalk in the shape of a bunny and egg and they had a flat bottom so they kind of looked like book ends. We thought that was hysterical he was so excited about bookends! :)

Jensen hunted eggs at school and Jorden got to hunt eggs at the park with MOMS Club. It was super windy that day so we couldn't do a lot of the games we planned but they kids had fun

I found one!

Here, you can have this mommy. I want the candy
We also celebrated with Jeff's mom's family since his aunt was in town from Arizona. It was a beautiful day at the barn on the Neidel property where 3 of the familes live close together. There were 13 kids 8 years and under and they had a blast roaming all over the land finding tons of eggs. My two were the only boys of the bunch so that is funny. We had a nice potluck and enjoyed visiting with everyone.

Jensen's basket was crazy full! I think I have a cavity from eating too much of it

April Random

We eat sometimes at a little truckstop near our house and last time we were there they were so sweet to us and gave the boys free long sleeve t-shirts. It took me about 15 tries before I got a picture of Jorden sitting still

Jorden is no where near close to potty training but we have the little potty in there to get him used to the idea. He can tell you when he has pooped and will go in and sit on the potty afterward (only with his clothes on) which is fine for practice. I couldn't resist taking this pic of him copying brother. They are gonna hate me for this one someday LOL

Jensen's handsome Pre-K school picture
Jorden likes to put on brother's "pack pack" and pretend to go to school

They started building a house in the lot right next to us so it has been little boy heaven with all the machinery and digging. I'm not too happy about it because of the noise and strange people literally 1ft from our windows starting at 7am. I liked the space too but it was inevitable.

Here are a couple of videos of Jorden. 18 months is so much fun and he amazes us everyday with his understanding and putting words together. One is of Jorden pretending to race at Jensen's practice, he keeps saying GO! The other is his favorite thing to do after bath....streaking

Run Jensen Run!

Jensen likes basketball and he really loves the running part so we signed him up for track through the YMCA. He has had 2 meets so far and he seems to enjoy it even though he comes in almost last. He did very well at the softball throw and placed 4th out of 27 kids. We should have known he'd be good at that since he has been chunking everything since he was 9 months old! He's taller than the other kids and we know he can be faster but he gets so caught up in the fun of running he falls behind. He has a good coach though and is improving after two practices. They do some really fun running games during practice and he loves it

At his meet last weekend, Jensen had Grandma and Grandpa, Mimi and our old neighbors there to watch. Mimi took some great pictures of him doing the long jump

He has one more track meet then he starts basketball in the summer again.

Lady Gaga

My friend Crystal and I got tickets to go see Lady Gaga in concert in Tulsa on April 4, 2011. We really like her music even though she is very strange. We drove up there and ate dinner at Outback which was interesting because we are both on strict diets. We did OK though and it was yummy. We got to the arena early and couldn't believe all the people in elaborate costumes. We had fun going around taking pictures of freaky people. I love seeing costumes on Halloween so this was almost as good! The concert was great too and she puts on a good show with a positive message Waiting to go insideMe and Crystal "Pete" waiting for an hour for Lady Gaga to come on after the lame opening act One of the craziest costumes!

We drove on this street and surprisingly there was no traffic on it!

These little girls were really cute and I loved the creativity. We were surprised by the number of young kids there, even some parents with toddlers.....um not appropriate!

There were so many large girls with big tutus on we wondered if Hobby Lobby was completely out of tulle :)

Her preggo belly says Little Monster since Lady Gaga calls all her fans Little Monsters
